My Astral Projection Truth: What is Astral Projection and How to do it!

I just finished editing version three of my free Book! It’s now ready for downloading!

I’ve also re-branded it in honor of Frank Kepple, who put in so much time and effort into teaching others to experience the larger reality. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have progressed as much as I have.

It’s now “My Astral Projection Truth: What is Astral Projection and How to do it!

This Book represents everything I’ve learned over my life, but mostly the last 2 – 3 years of my practices in Projection and Phasing. It’s now a 60 page Book full of great information regarding how you can begin to explore the furthest reaches of reality on your own! All the information I provide in it was the same information that helped propel me towards the experiences I now enjoy.

Feel free to pass it around to where ever you wish, as long as the information remains intact and all credit is given where due.  I hope the information helps you as much as it has helped me.

Thanks for reading! Please leave me some feedback on how you like the Book, and if there was any parts of it that are unclear or confusing. I’m happy to re-write sections to make them easier to understand.

Sleep Paralysis – What do I do!?

One of the most asked questions I see is in regards to Sleep Paralysis (SP).  People tend to get stuck at this point.

First, there’s the fear factor – this is a completely self-created aspect of it.  The first thing you need to do is to realize that any “scary” thing you’re currently experiencing while in SP is being completely driven by your own mind.  So the next thing to do is to ground and center yourself – gain control over your experience.  Stay calm and relaxed, perhaps also think about something positive.

Next, realize that when you’re experiencing SP you’re ALREADY projecting.  If somebody was to look at your physical body while you’re in sleep paralysis, they would just see you sleeping peacefully – or, depending on what you’re experiencing, it might look like you’re having a nightmare.

Before all this happens, before you even go to sleep (especially is SP is something you experience often), have a goal set in your mind for what you want to achieve during a projection.  Then, once you find yourself in SP, ground and center yourself and think of positive things, then shift your focus away from the paralysis part (because, honestly, that’s the most scary part of this) and focus ENTIRELY upon your goal for projecting.  It could be something like experiencing a new reality, or perhaps you want to speak with your spirit guides, or view your akashic records.  The idea of focusing on this goal is that you’re setting your mind to something BEYOND the paralysis part.

Think about how you do things in this physical reality while you’re awake… say you’re sitting on the couch watching tv and you become thirsty.  You don’t think about every small action it takes for you to quench that thirst… you just get up, go to the kitchen and grab something to drink.  You’re thinking about the end goal more than anything, your body just makes it happen.

Well the same holds true in your projections too.  We can use this knowledge now to get past your sleep paralysis and back to exploring reality.  Enjoy!

Post Focus! Throat Chakra and Astral Projection!

http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_projection_experiences/question_about_the_throat_chakra-t46700.0.html;msg362781#msg362781

Referencing the above post, someone asked the following about their Throat Chakra and Astral Projecting:

So I’ve been learning to astral project and I can tell that I am almost there. I have had some of the various physical sensations like vibrations and buzzing and have seen shadows of images flashing behind my eyelids. But I’m pretty sure that my throat chakra is holding me back, it’s been blocked my entire life and I think I can tell because I have man of the physical symptoms that tend to be associated with it. Recently I have been doing a lot of work to try to strengthen and open that chakra along with the other six, when I get to the point in my meditation where I’m starting to astral project I feel a huge lump in my throat that makes it almost hard to breathe and I start salivating more than normal. Any physical movement like swallowing makes it go away. I’ve been working on mentally focusing on not doing anything that would disturb that sensation because I’m thinking that it is a sign that the chakra is opening.

Has anyone else had this experience and if so can anyone help me understand what is happening and what I should do?

Thank you all.

My response:

From your post… I can tell you this:

You have no issues with your throat chakra.
You BELIEVE you have issues with your throat chakra, and that belief is all that’s holding you back.

You’re well-spoke and communicate effectively. You have no issues with your throat chakra.

With that said, stop worrying so much about stuff like needing to swallow. Just do it. Do you worry this much when you fall asleep at night? Probably not. You just lie down and fall asleep. Well, projecting isn’t any different. You lie down and “just project”. If you need to scratch an itch, do it. If you need to swallow, do it. Do it calmly and gently so you don’t break yourself too much out of your state of mind, but just do it.

I can meditate, get really deep and into it… then, UH OH! I have to go to bathroom…
It’s not a problem. You open your eyes, calmly and quietly get up, calmly and quietly go to the bathroom, do your stuff… then go and sit back down. This act of getting up shouldn’t completely break your focus.

If a simple movement such as “swallowing” is breaking your focus, then you’re worrying too much.

Just relax.

Astral Projection – What do to with the Vibrations?

How about this… ignore them! For the most part.
Acknowledge them only in the most minor way “Oh hey, vibrations, great…” then just continue doing what you were doing before they occurred.

Let me explain. Vibrations should ONLY ever be considered a signpost experience/sensation. They are one of those sensations you will experience during your practices which tell you that you’re on the right path. Basically, they’re a signpost that reads, “Keep doing what you’re doing, because you’re doing it right!!”.

However, what most people (especially new people) end up doing is the COMPLETE OPPOSITE!!! They end up stopping the method/exercise they were doing which CAUSED the vibrations in the first place and then focus entirely on the vibrations instead of what they were doing!! It’s like they’re walking happily down their path towards Astral Projection, then someone pokes then with a vibrating stick and then walk off the path in order to investigate that stick. Well, you’ve just stopped walking towards projecting. Understand?

So, the signpost DOES NOT read, “Stop what you’re doing and focus completely on me!” …there’s no better way to KILL your experience than to stop what you were doing to focus on the vibrations.

When you experience those vibrations, they’re only telling you that you’re doing things right. That’s it. Just give them a mental nod and continue walking calmly down the path you’re on. You now know you’re on the correct path, BUT you still need to continue walking down that path if you’re to actually project. So, in order to continue walking down that path… just keep doing what you were doing which brought on the vibrations in the first place.

You’re so close.

How to Access The Akashic Records or Contact Your Spirit Guides

What most people have to realize is that the “akashic records” isn’t a place… it actually isn’t any “THING” at all. It’s not a “place” which you “go to”. It’s more akin to a huge database which collects and records data. Consider it a record of everything that HAS happened and everything that COULD HAVE happened… along with a potential for anything that COULD happen in the future. But mostly the first two things, because those are the more concrete things which can be recorded.

First off, remember… everything is consciousness… and that means YOU ARE PART OF CONSCIOUSNESS TOO! As such, this means that you always, at anytime, have direct access (although it might not seem that way at times) to it. All you need to do is learn to listen to it.

Through our non-physical experiences (what humans subjectively call a “dream”, “lucid dream” or “astral projection”, or any of the various other labels we use -> because, meh, they’re all the same thing anyway) we have more direct access to this information. While we’re experiencing this physical reality, we DO have direct access to it as well, but it’s only accessible through the same filters which our consciousness currently experiences this physical reality through. Meaning, you have to put up with all the interpretations and snap judgments your consciousness makes on a secondly basis. So, how do you go about to do this?

FIRST, you meditate… focus your mind. Unless, that is, you’re a person who is always in a focused state of mind… then you can kind of just shift your attention towards that focus.
But let’s face it, most people are absent minded these days. So, meditate… focus your mind for a few minutes… push away as much physical-ness from your awareness as you can. THEN, ask your question. Say it out loud… think it… do whatever you want… just make sure the Intent behind your question is strong and with a powerful purpose. THEN, sit back and wait for an answer.

This is the most important part of this process… your answer will most likely *NOT* be something verbal. Don’t get me wrong, it COULD come to you in a neatly verbal reply which you “hear”, but it probably won’t. As such, you need to listen intently to your body. The answer could come as a change in temperature… a breeze… it could be in the form of a memory popping into your mind… the point here being, remain COMPLETELY OPEN to *HOW* the answer comes to you. Don’t judge it, don’t analyze it, just accept it into yourself, however it comes.

That’s how you access this stuff while “physical”. This can be used to do more than just gaining access to the Akashic Records, or contacting your Spirit Guides… you can do anything you want with this really. Speak with your Higher Self, talk to other people’s Higher Selves… contact animal guides… your subconscious… anything. Keep in mind though, that all of those things are, pretty much, the same thing anyway.

Enjoy!

Perception Creates Your Reality

This is a great illustration of how your Perception creates your reality. And it doesn’t just happen here physically…

When experiencing the non-physical, WHAT you experience is OBJECTIVE, HOW you experience it is SUBJECTIVE.
The shape in the middle bottom of the image represents what your non-physical experience ACTUALLY is… the two shapes on the end represent how you INTERPRETED the experience.
You can have two separate consciousnesses experience the same middle image, yet their interpretation of that experience could really end up in two completely different ways.

WHAT you experience is OBJECTIVE (the middle shape), HOW you experience it is SUBJECTIVE.

Is Astral Projection Just a Form of Lucid Dreaming?

A member of the Astral Pulse recently asked “Is Astral Projection just a form of lucid dreaming?”.

Well, to answer this question, we need to ask three separate questions which are all intricately linked and yet also not linked at all.

Here are the THREE very important questions that need to be asked.

1. What is “dreaming”?
2. What is “lucid dreaming”?
3. What is “astral projection”?

Now, I have been studying this stuff for a while and at one point, I focused almost exclusively on the first question in order to answer the second and third question. So began my journey to figure out what we humans (aka: science) know about “dreaming” began.

What is Dreaming? I very quickly hit a roadblock when researching this question. What did I learn? I learned that humanity, LITERALLY, has absolutely no idea what “dreaming” is. We haven’t a clue. We have scientists who have provided educated guesses, but not a single human lives today or has ever lived who has been able to answer that question.

So… that kills question #1. The answer: We humans don’t know what “dreaming” is.

Question #2 and #3 are kind of unanswerable because we don’t know the answer to question #1.

So when you ask “is astral projection just a form of lucid dreaming?”, do you realize what you’re REALLY asking here?
You’re asking “is some random label of something we have absolutely no idea about, just a form of another random label of something we have absolutely no idea about?”. Most people love to compare dreaming to lucid dreaming and to astral projection, but you can’t do this. It makes no logical sense because if you don’t know what “dreams” are, then you can’t use it as a basis of comparison to anything else.

Funny, eh?

Now, I *can* answer #1, #2, AND #3. However, I can only answer it from my own personal experience of the non-physical… I’m not saying the answer is right, but I am saying that it comes from my own personal experience. I wrote the following article a few years ago to better explain: http://www.unlimitedboundaries.ca/2012/07/22/labeling-experiences-of-the-non-physical/

Please read that article, and enjoy.

Why Astral Projections Feel “More Real” Than Physical Waking Life

Some people, especially individuals new to Projection, upon having their first Projection proclaim that it was “more real” than their usual physical reality experience. Let me try to explain how this sensation works.

If you really think about it for a second, saying that something is “more real” is a strange comparison to make with something else. If something is “real” then how can something else be “more” real? It’s either real or not real. It’s one of those statements that has no gray area. It’s very black and white, on or off, 1 or 0. The better way to describe these experiences is that when compared to your physical reality perception they are simply “different”. Why are they different? Because while you’re physically awake you’re experiencing this reality *through* the filters (5 senses) of your physical body.

When you’re projecting, you’re not using those 5 physical senses. Now, understand, for your ENTIRE LIFE up until now, you’ve been using those 5 physical body senses and they have formed your entire reality for as long as you can remember. You’ve become entirely used to how your physical body feels when experiencing this physical reality. So what’s different about it when you’re projecting? While projecting, for the first time in your experience, you’re using “other” senses/perceptions to experience the reality through.

So, what’s going on is that you’re experiencing a reality with different filters on, perhaps even LESS filters than you’re normally (physically) used to. This is why a Projection FEELS so “different”.

Let me try to put it another way. Have you ever bought a brand new pair of shoes? The first time you slip those shoes on, they feel very strange on your feet. Don’t they? They feel completely different because they’re filtering what your feet are feeling compared to your old shoes which were very familiar to you. It doesn’t make them any more or less “real”, it just makes your perception of them “different”. This “different” perception is all that’s occurring when you’re projecting. I’ve found that the “different” perception is also directly tied to “how aware” you are compared to your waking self. The more aware you are the “more real” people tend to describe their experiences.

I hope that helps a bit with understanding your experiences.

Astral Projection – Do Individual & Collective Areas of Consciousness Exist?

There are these non-physical concepts floating around that there are these “areas” of consciousness which are “individual” in nature, meaning it’s only you there experiencing it and “collective” in nature, meaning that it’s you experiencing the reality with many other individuals/awarenesses/entities/beings/etc. When you look at consciousness as a whole, you realize that this kind of separation is simply illogical. Allow me to explain.

By the very nature that everything is consciousness – everything is collective. There is only “everything”. The simple fact is that the individualness you experience on a daily basis (the idea that you are separate from everyone else) is an illusion. So when people have a projection and they seem to be in a reality all by themselves, or they have what they will arbitrarily label as a lucid dream, they come to the conclusion that they were within some individual area of consciousness which is only for them and them alone.

There’s only your perception of individual and collective experiences. The difference is like standing in a crowded room with a blindfold that blocks all light from your eyes and ear plugs that block all noise from your ears and then making the, obviously plain as day assumption that you’re all alone. Your perception says that since you can’t see or hear anyone else that you were all by yourself, even though standing all around you are these other individuals. That’s how the non-physical / consciousness kind of works.

You’re never alone. You only perceive yourself to be because that how you’re currently interpreting the reality that you’re experiencing. Someone / something could be standing right in front of you and you’d never see them because you just don’t perceive them.

This is also what I mean when I say that WHAT you experience is Objective, but HOW you experience it is Subjective. So how do you experience something closer to how it’s Objectively presented? You need to keep yourself grounded and centered. This will remove as much subjectiveness as possible which is being fueled by your own awareness. Even then, if you’re able to do that, you still might not ever experience something 100% objective as it’s really presented.

How to Design your own Effective Astral Projection Technique

How can you design your own, more effective Projection method? I’ll explain and hopefully walk you through the process.

I had posted a while back a PDF which had something like 100 different methods for achieving a Projection in it. Well, yes, there were 100 different methods, however they were *ALL* a variation of one single method. Nice, eh?

When you understand that every single projection method out there is simply a variation on a theme, you can then begin to understand how to fashion your own method OR find one that has already been written which will work best for you.

What you need to find is your “Focus”. This is the thing that you’ll be focusing your attention on to the exclusion of everything else. You’re basically going to make this one thing the point of your focus so that everything else around you, everything physical drops away. This is when the Projection-reflex occurs.

First, let’s talk about a couple methods and I’ll explain what their “Focus” is and why they work.

I’ll start with the famous “Rope Method”. As you’re lying down, you imagine a rope hanging down above you around your chest level. The point of it is to take your imaginary hands (astral hands), reach up with them, grab the rope and pull. This act should eventually cause you to Project.

So what’s really going on here? Is the pulling on this imagination rope really “loosening your astral body” (as others would suggest)? Metaphorically, yes. Realistically, no. The act of using your imagination to create these hands which reach out, grab and pull on this imagination rope is the *FOCUS* of this particular method. You are essentially using this visualization as your focus, which when you do this to the exclusion of everything else going on around you causes the Projection-reflex to trigger.

Ok, the next one we’ll look at is my own Noticing Exercise which I provide in my free book “My Astral Projection Truth: What is Astral Projection and How To Do It”. In the Noticing Exercise you lie down, close your eye”http://dl.dropbox.com/u/39504726/Phasing_Primer.pdfs and then just look out into the blackness caused by closing your eyes. At that point, you’re to draw your attention towards any “changes” you see happening in that blackness. Allow your attention to draw towards anything, however minute it may seem. When you begin to see changes occur, move your attention towards it more and more, investigate it as deeply as you can.

So what’s really going on with this exercise? The act of bringing your awareness towards the changes going on within the blackness is the *FOCUS* for this. When you do this exercise and you focus on those changes to the exclusion of everything physical around you, you will trigger the Projection-reflex.

Give me any AP/OBE/LD/etc method/techniques/exercise and I’ll let you know what the Focus of that technique is. The only exception is that this Focus stuff only relates to methods/techniques/exercises where the goal is a Projection from a fully conscious, awakened state.

If you can find a good Focus that will work for you, then it’ll keep your awareness engaged. The Focus can, literally, be anything you want. It can even be something on or about your physical body. Some people would say that’s an issue because it would keep your focus on your physical body. It’s not an issue as long as you can use that Focus in an effort to push everything else physical away from your awareness. The goal is to remove your awareness from this physical reality. Or another way to put it is that you’re looking to make it so that your five physical reality senses are no longer “processing” input from your environment.

So what should your Focus be? As I said, it can be anything you want as long as it’s engaging and it can hold your attention for extended periods of time. We’ve already discussed how the Rope Method and the Noticing Exercise work and what their Focus is. Try to pick something that’s of interest to you. For myself, I (used to) train in Yoshinkan Aikido, so I would visualize myself doing that martial art. I’d visualize myself doing the movements, feeling everything as I would if I was really practicing it. It worked great as it’s something I enjoyed doing, so it would hold my attention. What I would find is that as I was doing this visualization, I’d find myself in a dojo actually practicing it, like I was physically there standing on the mats in the middle of whatever technique I was performing at the time. That’s Projection.

You could use something Visual. I’ve seen people use a candle flame. You stare into a real, physically lit candle until the point when you close your eyes you can see an afterimage of the flame. Then you focus on that afterimage. You could also use something making sound. If you have a fan going, you can focus on the sound of the fan makes. You can even do an open eyed Focus where you focus on something across the room, say a teddy bear on a shelf. As you focus on it to the exclusion of all else going on, allow your eyes to fall shut. Eventually, if you’re focused enough on it, you’ll trigger the Projection-reflex.

You can use full visualizations like I suggest in the Mental Rundown exercises from my book. If you can engage all of your senses within a scene you create, then that too is a great Focus with which to trigger the Projection-reflex. For that, I like to take walks down at the local beach front. Very relaxing to me. Although, you could also do anything you want. Do you enjoy canoe trips? Do a visualization where you ride in a canoe down a river. This kind of visualization works best when you use a memory of something you’ve already done. This allows your Focus to be created very strongly, because you don’t have to guess what something feels like.

A more basic example of this is visualizing yourself in an elevator going up and down. If you use a Mental Rundown like this as your Focus, then try to make sure there’s some sort of incorporation of “movement” in it. I find that helps greatly in triggering the Projection-Reflex.

Anyway, that’s about it for now! Feel free to PM me on the forums, email me, or drop a comment here if you wish to discuss what Focus works best for you. I’m more than happy to help you come up with something!

Societal Intent

This article was posted today on the Toronto Star, I wanted to comment on it.

http://www.thestar.com/opinion/public_editor/2014/11/14/the_incivility_of_online_comments_public_editor.html

I’ve mentioned some of this before, but it never hurts to repeat things again and again! 🙂
There’s a thing called “Intent”, I speak about it a lot in terms of spirituality and astral projection. What is the Intent behind the action you’re doing… is it positive or negative. This is on a personal level. Each action that each of us does throughout our lives has an Intent behind it.

Likewise, society as a whole also has an Intent… every action that plays out on a larger scale, such as our interactions between each other is the “Societal Intent”. Part of living and growing spiritually is purifying your Intent so that the choices you make are based more on a positive Intent than a negative Intent. As each person purifies their own Intent… the Societal Intent also becomes purified just a little bit more. What this really means is that how we treat each other online in an anonymous situation is directly reflective of our Societal Intent.

When I say “purified”, I mean that you begin to make choices not for self-serving or greedy reasons… but you make a choice because it’s just the right thing to do. For example, the famous “wallet scenario”: You see someone in front of you drop their wallet and not notice… you pick it up and you…

1. After noticing that a few other people around you see you pick it up, you figure you might as well give the wallet back or others might think you’re stealing.

2. Or… you pick up the wallet and immediately give it back to the owner.

In both scenarios, you end up doing the right thing… you give the wallet back to it’s owner. The question is in WHY did you do it. What was you Intent behind the action of giving the wallet back?
In the first one, you gave it back because you were fearful of the reaction of others around you. In other words, you acted out of fear… fear that your reputation would be tarnished or worse.
In the second one, there’s not an eyelash batted… you give it back without a second thought, because it’s just the right thing to do. You don’t even have to think about it.

There’s a measuring stick here…
If you have to think about why you’re doing an action, then chances are good that it’s not coming from a good place.
It’s also the difference between ACTING nice and BEING nice. The first you’re ACTING nice. The second you’re BEING nice.

That’s not to say that the first one is such a bad thing… if you want to focus on growing spiritually, then you have to start somewhere. When you do it enough, acting nice eventually (usually) leads to being nice. It’s hard to change our thinking and perception of things, but it’s entirely possible and is well worth it. J

Kasina / Laxman – Light and Sound Machine Program

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share with you this program for the Kasina and the Laxman light and sound machines.
It’s one of the best programs I’ve used on my Kasina. It provides a very solid non-physical focus in order to project with.

Give it a shot and let me know how you like it!

If you have a Kasina, I like to use the Biomarkers program first… then jump into this one. Leaves me in such a great state!

You can download it from the device appropriate links below.

Post Focus! After 20 years my OBEs have stopped!

I haven’t done one of these in a while so I thought I’d start them back up again! Post Focus!
There was a post made on the Astral Pulse today by Alex-Anderson, where he speaks about having many what he labels as “OBEs” during his life, but now recently, within the last couple years, that has apparently stopped. He goes on to say that he does have many, what he labels as “lucid dreams” though. Which is great! And I’ll explain!

First, this is his post:

Guys this is driving me crazy, I had probably about at least 3 or more OBEs per week for many years/decades, and my experiences became very mature and controlled in the latter years, but for some reason they stopped suddenly about 2 years ago.

Since then external factors such as a new position at work (higher workload + stress) and the birth of my twins could be contributing factors undecided, but nonetheless I feel somewhat depressed loosing what I thought was a unique gift.

Every night at bed I’m thinking about possible OBE experiences but nothing ever avails (mine always happened from sleep). However I still have very detailed lucid dreams (as I did as a child prior to OBEs occurring), but so far it remains as is with nothing more than a lucid dream.

I remember reading a book stating that OBEs can just stop in mid/late adulthood and never return, has anyone ever had this and found some way to re-kickstart the experiences again?

My response:
The ONLY issue you have is that you’re stuck on labels.
To me, those two quotes above (bolded sentences) are contradictory.

Here’s what you’re saying: “I used to have lots of OBE’s, but within the last two years they’ve stopped… except now I have lots of Lucid Dreams.
Here’s my perspective: “I used to have lots of projections, but within the last two years they’ve stopped… except now I have lots of projections.

An OBE *IS* a projection.
A lucid dream *IS* a projection.

Your ONLY problem is that you “believe” that they’re different things… and, as I said, you’re too hung up on labels.
Forget the terms you know. They’re meaningless and worthless. If you’re consciously aware that you’re experiencing a reality which isn’t this physical reality, then you’re projecting.

What you need to do is learn to control what you’re calling a “lucid dream” and dictate where and what you do in those experiences. They’re ALL non-physical experiences.
If you want to experience something resembling this physical reality while having what you’re calling a “lucid dream”, then just do it. You’re only limiting yourself here. Place the intent. Do what you choose to do. Have control.

You have no problem here beyond what you believe you do. You haven’t lost anything except time.

Astral Projection Sensations – Vibrations, Spinning, Etc

I’ve noticed over the last while that a lot of people try to focus on experiencing what is commonly referred to as the “Vibrations”.
Why are they called that? Well, that’s exactly what they feel like. It feels as if your entire body (or simply just parts of your body) are actually vibrating. Now, we know that it’s not your actual physical body vibrating, because people can touch you and you’ll feel normal even though YOU think you’re body is shaking on a 9.0 on the richter scale.

While it seems to be all and good for some people to experience the vibrations (and many other sensations), you shouldn’t make them your goal… and I’ll explain why.

It’s like in the martial arts, say Karate for example, you’re taught to punch THROUGH your target. You pick a point PAST your target and you aim for that.
You don’t aim for your target, because that’s a much weaker strike, so by the time your fist is hitting the target, your punch is pretty much stopped.

What you’re doing when you focus on achieving the vibrations (or any other non-direct projection goal) is that you’re focusing so hard on experiencing these “sensations” that your aiming for the target (sensations) so when you finally hit that target, you’re stopping. Aim beyond the sensations. Aim beyond what you THINK you need to achieve.

It’s okay, and even good to have those symptoms/sensations… but they’re mostly just a signpost that reads “Keep doing what you’re doing, because you’re doing it right”. Just keep doing whatever it was that got you there. Continue focusing away from the physical. Don’t stop to read the signpost.

How To SEE Your Visualizations

You won’t *see* it. You’ll… well, the best way to describe it is *perceive* it.

Try this…
Take a childhood memory you have. Now replay that memory in your head…
What’s going on right now? You’re not actually *SEEING* that memory, yet you can still *perceive* every nuance of it. You can see the people, you can perhaps hear the words they’re saying, and the environment going on around it. But never do you SEE anything other than the blackness when you close your eyes.

Actually, you don’t even have to close your eyes when you do this! You can see what’s physically going on around you AND still “perceive” the memory.

Does that make sense?

The great people at MindPlace (http://www.mindplace.com) have been very kind to provide me with a Kasina Mind Media System in order to review it.
With that said, I’m going to put it through its paces over the next little while and provide you all with a blow by blow rundown of it!
To start, I’ll mention that this is my first light and sound machine that I’ve ever used. The cost of this particular AVS system is $350 directly from their website, or you can also order it on other sites including Amazon. That makes this machine really easy to attain.

This is everything that’s included in the box.  There’s the Kasina itself, in the middle.  The glasses above it (very stylish!).  The earbuds, which I have found to be very good as they fit nicely into the ear to provide such a seal that it’s almost like noise cancellation (but isn’t, just thought I’d point that out).  It comes with an 8gb card, pre-loaded with A LOT of programs for you to use right out of the box, and you’re able to download more or write your own with software they provide.  The rest constitutes the quick start up guide (very handy!), and all equipment you need to charge and run the device and a sweet little pouch to hold it all in when you’re not using it or when travelling!  Very nice.

This image makes up the bulk of the actual machine itself.  It’s very similar to an iPod/iPhone in size and scope, but it’s about double as thick.  It’s very light with a very strong, plastic construction, but it’s completely solid and I’d be very confident using this as a straight up MP3 player on the road or working out with.
The software and controls make it very easy to navigate through the menus to find the program you want to run. The operating system/software which runs on the Kasina is very well programmed. The menus are very intuitive and are really easy to navigate.

After running the unit through an initial charge for a few hours (I had to fight my urge to jump right in, as I wanted a nice full charge to work with), I’ll run quickly over my first use of it, which was earlier during the first day I had it:
The first program I decided upon after running through the lists quickly was called “Forest and River”, which has a run time of 16 minutes.  I sat down on my trusty recliner couch, made myself comfortable and loaded’er up!

The “Forest and River” program started… the light combinations, the pulsing and how everything mixes together was truly astounding.  After not even a minute into the program I was being whisked away to a beautiful forest, where all the rivers/trees/animals/etc were there, in my mind… and when I say “whisked away”, I mean it figuratively AND literally.  It started off with a fast pulsing of blues and greens, then slowed down bringing me even more deeply into the scene which was being generated in front of me.  I even briefly had images of trees pop in front of me (the literal part!)… meaning that, for brief seconds, I actually was “there”, in the forest.  In projection practices, we call these hypnogogic images.  Then as the program was wrapping up, it would speed up the pulsing and bring you ‘back’ to normal, waking consciousness, kind of like the gateway tracks do.  I kind of wished that one was longer.

The value of this machine to meditation practices is really amazing and I’m really looking forward to delving deeper into what it offers, but I can truly see the value of this machine as an aid to Projecting.  Using this before bed, or even first thing in the morning, can really put the mind in the correct mindset to have many projections.

Anyway, that’s my initial impression of the Kasina.  It’s a high quality machine, no doubt about that.  I’m extremely impressed so far.  I’ll be adding to this thread as I experiment more with it.  I plan on making this a regular part of my meditation/projection practices in the future.

Later in the week, I experimented with another track. It’s listed on the Mind Place website as:

“Session 20: 25 min Deep Tranquility
Try this session first if you are really sensitive or just start-ing out on the machine. This is one of the most gentle sessions in the unit. Just sit back and allow yourself to gently flow.”
It was suggested to me by Lionheart, a moderator over on the Astral Pulse forum.

This was a 25 minute session, which really shows the basics of what the device can do. It takes you through several shifts, auditory and visual. The sound it uses is an isochronic beat, which generally don’t do well for me, but this mixed with the light really makes a difference!

The strobe-effect creates an extremely vivid sense of movment down a tunnel being taken in various directions! They speed you up, slow you down, and toss a variety of colours into the mix to get your senses. In projection practice, the sense of movement really helps trigger the projection-reflex. So this kind of program will really assist with that.

The next day I found I had 20 minutes to spare so I tried the “before learning” program, which is a 12 minute program. I don’t know about the stated effect of making you more receptive to learning, but I did find it very relaxing anyway. It made me very receptive to dropping off into a non-physical lucid awareness experience.

I’m finding that I like the programs that provide a sense of movement then rapidly changes that sense to a new direction. Really focuses my mind. I also need to further check their support forum for downloadable programs.

A couple days later I had a lot more time so I downloaded a program which Lionheart used on his Laxman. It’s one that neuroasis (one of the MindPlace customer service reps, REALLY nice and REALLY helpful people) was kind enough to convert to the Kasina.

As a side note, it’s REALLY easy to download programs and load them on the device. It works exactly like a USB Flash Drive. You just open the downloaded zip, and place the files within in either it’s own folder or another folder on the device. So simple! Love it!

I loaded up the 30 minute L#3 program, kicked the recliner couch back and enjoyed the binaurals and lightshow! It’s very similar to the binarual I made a couple years back, with some differences. But where the program really kicked in was with the lights. The Binaurals are one thing that really help with your focus, but the lights bring a whole new layer of focus and kinds of melts your attention into the patterns you’re seeing. It also kind of feels like your eyes are still open too, since you’re ‘seeing’ so much. Another nice benefit which I’m noticing from this machine is that while using it, my eyes seem to be locked shut. Once those colours start firing my eyes are locked, can’t open them until it’s over.

One thing I would like to see, and I’m not sure if the options in the device can be set for this, is for the lights at the end of a program to slowly dim down until they’re off. The quick shut off is rather abrupt. Other than that, this machine has been a pleasure to use.

I’m seeing now that the LED lights bring a whole new layer to the mix of mind entrainment. It’s kind of like the 3D Blackness, yet it begins from the very get go and provides plenty to visually focus on. It’s like binaurals for the eyes! The more you focus on what you’re seeing, the further within and the deeper you’ll go into the non-physical.

Next, I plan on trying my hand at using the Basic Editor software which comes with the Kasina to make my own program!

I used the Kasina Basic Editor to create a short 10 minute program which kind of mimics a binaural beat I made a while ago using a different program. I was also playing with all the settings and seeing what everything did. Pretty good basic program. It doesn’t go too indepth, but it’s enough for a beginner to jump right in with a low learning curve in order to make something effective.

I installed the more advanced free ones as well, just to take a look into them… but wow, they were waaaaaaaaaaaay over my head. I think they’re more geared to the musically inclined, so I shall not try too much with them. It’d be nice to have a way in the basic editor to control each individual light, but I think that might be too far ahead for a “basic” editor. LoL

I plan on trying my 10 minute program shorly. It basically takes you QUICKLY down from an awake state over a couple minutes, then the last couple minutes you can just stew there for until it stops. Looking forward to it. If it works great I’ll need to extend the times, which thankfully because the editor is so easy to use, will be easy to do! hehe

I used the 10 minute program which I mentioned above. I found that I don’t really need the lead-up to the lower frequency and I would just get more out of it by just starting at the lower frequency to begin with, so I adjusted my program to do just that and added another 5 minutes so it. Kind of make it a relaxing power-nap meditation. It worked wonders, so extremely relaxing. I LOVE the low frequencies… lights and sound. Mixing the low frequency with the blue lights as well was a nice extra added touch to the program.

That brings me to my next point… being able to control the lights that fire by using the audiostrobe colour presets while the programs are running is really nice. It really changes the entire program, which means that you not only get an entire host of programs on the 8gb card that comes with the machine (except the spectrastrobe stuff, because I believe it already is programmed to use the different LEDs separately), but you also get several variations through each of the presets which you can use with each program. This includes the programs you create using the basic editor. So you can make something and also have several variations on it as well. Very versatile.

All in all, after using the Kasina for a week and a bit so far I’m really impressed with it. Some people have suggested elsewhere that it’s a mere entertainment machine… I can’t help but disagree with that completely. It’s built for the serious adventurer. If you’re honestly interested in giving your meditations a huge boost and if you’re seriously interested in giving your Astral Projections a kick in the rear, then I have absolutely no doubt that this machine will give you the non-physical focus you’re looking for. ESPECIALLY if you’re not interested or can’t spend a lot of money on a more expensive AVS machine. At $350 I don’t think you’ll find better quality or better value anywhere else.

I will continue to provide updates on the different programs I use and the Kasina in general as I progress through it and get much deeper into the machine!

Best Method For Astral Projection: Paths to Spiritual Growth

There is a single, sure-fire way to be a successful Projector: Spiritual Growth.

Spiritual growth has many other terms describing it… increasing the quality of your consciousness, becoming a better person, spiritual evolution, lowering your entropy, etc. If you want to be sure to succeed with Projection, then you’re going to want to aim at becoming a better person. This has the rather effective side effect of making all of those other psychic and metaphysical activities occur naturally!

So how does one grow spiritually? That’s the big question…
You’ll hear lots of stories from many people about what you NEED or MUST do, but the jist is usually that they tell you that you need to meditate everyday in order to grow spiritually. Well, I’m here to tell you that there’s absolutely NOTHING special you need to do in order to increase the quality of your consciousness.

It’s really simple: spiritual growth happens through your interactions with other consciousnesses in this reality. There’s nothing else to it.
What I mean is that you need to interact with other consciousnesses (people, animals, etc…) in a Loving and Caring way. It means to be NICE to everyone and everything regardless of who they are. This SOUNDS easy, but then think about someone who really grinds your gears… now, be nice to that person.

Now, the misunderstanding with spirituality is that you must be nice to everyone ALL OF THE TIME. This isn’t the case. Being spiritual doesn’t mean you allow people to step all over you… or you allow people to treat you poorly. Being spiritual means treating yourself with love and respect as much as anyone else, and you wouldn’t allow anyone else to be treated that way, so you shouldn’t to yourself either.

What you’ll quickly find, as I did, is that doing this on a constant basis really changes your perception of life. This has the secondary effect of bringing beneficial things to you in order to help you further grow! This includes metaphysical things like seeing auras and Projection! As you begin to lower your entropy, you’ll begin to notice these things naturally occurring to you!

Let’s talk now about the paths you can take to spiritually evolve.
There are, essentially, two paths to growth. You can grow through Love, or you can grow through Fear. A good analogy for these two paths is the Force!

We’ll start with the dark side (Fear-based growth). The dark side is limited in their growth potential, they can only become “so powerful”. An individual who spiritually evolves by Fear, uses control over others and control over themselves in order to evolve… they control themselves by controlling their emotional reactions to other people, this makes them “look” nice, but they’re really not. They’re only acting. These people are quite easy to identify, because they have issues with other people and the beliefs they hold. They usually think that their beliefs are the only true way to do anything and everyone else is wrong. They also attack those they disagree with. The problem with people who increase the quality of their consciousness with Fear is that to the less spiritually initiated individual, they look very powerful and very strong. It’s easy to get caught up in these kinds of individuals. If you can identify the Fear-base individual, you can put yourself in to a good position by staying away from them. They’re only interested in themselves and not really interested in helping you or anyone else.

Now, let’s talk about the light side (Love-based growth). The light side is almost unlimited in their growth potential, they can become “extremely powerful”. An individual who spiritually evolves by Love, guides others with a caring hand and helps them to lower their entropy as well. These people are easy to identify as well, because they allow everyone to be as they are. They understand that everyone has their own opinions, their own experiences and their own beliefs. They accept this and don’t try to force their opinions upon others. These are the individuals you want to befriend, as they truly have your best interests at heart.

Here is an example to illustrate my point…
You’re walking down the street behind someone who accidentally drops their wallet, but doesn’t realize it! You quickly pick up the wallet. While picking it up, you notice someone sees you do it. Your thoughts are now that you better give the wallet back or that individual will think poorly of you or might notify the actual owner of the wallet. So you return the wallet out of fear that they’re going to think poorly of you. This is a fear-based choice. This is someone who grows from the dark side. They did the right thing, but they did it entirely for the wrong reasons, yet they still LOOK like they’re good.
In comparison, the Love-based individual would pick up the wallet and, without giving it a second thought, flag the individual down and give them their wallet back. They didn’t think about it, they just did it, because it was the right thing to do.

These are the paths to spiritual growth. Through them, you’ll quickly notice that all metaphysical doors, including Projection, slowly begin to open to you. These occurrences will begin to be a natural part of your life.

Astral Police? What Is This?

This will be a short and right to the point post about what a lot of people fear to be what is commonly referred to as the “Astral Police”.

In short, there is no “law enforcement” in the non-physical. At least not as you would expect.
The only rules you break are the ones you place there for yourself.

With that said, if you’re breaking your own rules (whether they consciously or unconsciously set by you), then you’re going to run into “blocks”, but any of those blocks are going to be self-created. How you perceive those blocks is entirely up to the individual, it could manifest as a wall stopping you from moving forward; you might just become unable to move at all; you might run into “police”, which is how this whole “astral police” stuff began in the first place, one person experienced it and told someone else…

What you experience in the non-physical is objective, but HOW you experience it is subjective. Not many new people realize this and interpret experiences literally! You can’t do this.

For example, the scenario above of someone being “stopped” by some “police” while projecting, this individual definitely was “stopped” or “blocked” from an action they wanted to take or stopped while doing an action, that’s the objective part… the subjective part was that they were stopped by “police”.

So as you see, there is no “Astral Police”. There is only your own consciousness looking out for itself. Keep doing things that you know are wrong and you’ll quickly find yourself unable to do those things anymore.

Why Can I Never Remember My Dreams in the Morning?

It’s been proven scientifically that you dream every single night of your life, yet some people wake up each morning and simply can NEVER remember what they experienced while unconscious. Why is that?

Well, your memory works in the same way whether you’re experiencing this physical reality or a non-physical reality. You must have what I call a “base level awareness” in order for you to directly and consciously experience a dream, after you have that, it’s then up to you in order to fully remember it. There are other things you can do upon awakening to lock that memory physically, but that’s a point for another article.

You remember whatever you directly experience. Yet to directly experience a dream, you must first have even the smallest amount of awareness within that dream. Anything less than that base level awareness, and you won’t re-call the dream, because you didn’t consciously experience it.

I’ll explain how it works physically with a comparison event which I think a lot of us have encountered before: Being so drunk you didn’t remember anything from that evening. If you’ve ever been so blind drunk that the next day you didn’t remember anything that happened, it’s not that you didn’t DO things, because obviously you did (I’m sure your friends will tell you every detail! LOL), it’s just that you didn’t have the base level awareness to directly experience it.

Well, the same holds true for your dreams. If you don’t have that base level awareness, then you won’t recall your dreams, because you didn’t directly experience them.
